Christmas PastWe have our feet up and are taking it easy...... Well, actually that's not true, but we're certainly taking it easy compared to last year when we had our shop! We do miss the Christmas markets, the shop and our wonderful customers, but oh how lovely is it that we no longer have to wrap gifts under the eagle eyes of shoppers, juggle orders over the phone whilst customers are waiting to pay at the till - but best of all, no more shredding tissue or curling ribbon, YEY! It does seem odd having plenty of time to go and do our own shopping without working 'shifts'. Last year we squeezed shopping in between the Plush Folly opening hours which included Saturdays. It wasn't until almost 6 o'clock on Christmas Eve when we shut the shop doors that our Christmas celebrations could begin. I think we're going to make up for it this year! |

Christmas PresentIf you haven't been onto the website for a while, it's worth a visit just to see the new kits we have. The lastest additions to the Plush Folly kit list are Making Shampoo and Making Conditioner, but we have also some other very tempting treats too. The biggest selling kit at the moment is Make Your Own Beautiful Perfumes / Aftershaves, although the Glycerine Soap kit is making a push for top spot too! We have also updated our list of tools and accessories so if you're trying to hunt down glass beakers (that can go straight onto the heat - brilliant!), glass stirring rods, 1ml and 3ml pipettes, pH papers etc - look no further. Orders of these items are steady, but unsurprisingly no noticable increase at this time of year since a jerry can or similar may be an odd Christmas present for most! If you fancy making some new products for Christmas, our Advent Calendar can help you. Each day a new recipe or beauty tip will be revealed so that you can have fun making and giving at the same time. |

Christmas FutureOur training schedule for the year is almost complete - we have our student from Israel coming back over for another couple of days next week and then that's it until January. We plan to launch our two new courses in the new year - these are the Making Liquid Soap course (home study) and Essential Oil Profiling (available as a workshop and as home study). The latter is a course that is designed to teach you all about the use, therapeutic benefits and cosmetic application of essential oils but won't include physical anatomy. It is designed purely for those who wish to use a range of essential oils in their cosmetic products rather than as a more physical treatment such as body massage. So that is keeping us busy over the festive season after all! We wish you all a happy, successful, safe and fulfilled Christmas and New Year. Thank you for being a wonderful Plush Folly customer.
