Tips & Advice
How to Apply a Face Mask
Tie your hair back and clip up any hair that may fall onto your face
Wash your hands and remove all traces of makeup from your face. Always apply your face mask to a clean skin
Place some of the mask onto your finger tips and carefully apply to your face in a consistent layer using small sweeping movements. Do not make the layer too thick as it may to too heavy and fall off rather than dry on your skin
Avoid your eye and lip area
Once you are happy with the coverage, wash your hands and lie or sit somewhere quietly while the mask does its magic
Some masks are designed to go hard, others are not and remain flexible
How to Remove a Face Mask
The easiest way to remove a mask that has gone hard is to stand over the basin (or do this in the bath) and grimace and pull faces by opening your mouth as wide as you can and then pulling it taught as if you are blowing one very long k-i-s-s
Make your face look as surprised as it can be and then ‘collapse’ your face as if you were playing the part of a very old woman in a pantomime
Not only is this a fabulous workout for your facial muscles, but it also helps loosen the face mask so that it begins to crumble off
Depending on how dry your face mask is, you can remove it by rubbing it in very fine small circles. This also helps to remove dead skin cells and flaky patches
When you are happy that you have removed all that you can in this way, simply rinse the rest off in tepid water
Always apply a moisturiser after you have used a face mask
