Mica Make Up In No Time
The party season is here - and so is shopping season, cooking season, tidy your house before the guests arrive season, hide presents and remember where you put them season. Grit your teeth and remember 'tis the season to be jolly!
If you have lots of time for all the above, you probably have little time for yourself, so here we have some very sneaky, quick makeup tips!
If you haven't got some already, grab yourself some mica - not only is it gorgeous in transparent soaps, but works well in bath products too. It is the basis of mineral makeup, and this is where it truly comes into its own.
Start by taking a little shaking of mica and place it a piece of paper or in the lid of a pot. Never dip a wet brush into the mica itself, decant the mica you need onto a palette, paper or similar first.
Quick eye liner - Wet an eyeliner brush by running it under the tap. Shake off any excess water. Dip the brush into the mica that you have removed from the pot. Carefully paint a thin line across your eyelid following the line of your eye lashes as closely as possible. This looks great painted on top of your regular black eyeliner too.
Brighter coloured eye shadow - Wet an eye shadown brush and dip it into the mica that you have removed from the pot. Use this directlyonto your eyes - the colour is intensified and appears more metallic as it dries.
Lip Gloss - Using a lip brush or lip wand, load it with clear lip gloss. Dip the brush or wand into the mica that you have removed from the pot. Apply to the lips. If you have no clear lip gloss, mixing the colour with a little jojoba oil or shea butter will also work.
Nail Varnish - Place the mica onto a piece of paper. Dip your loaded nail varnish brush into the mica and then apply to your nails. This works well with clear or coloured nail varnish.
There you have it, quick and easy and beautiful make up in an instant!
