Quick uplifting fix

We decorated the tree on Sunday and it looks beautiful.

Unfortunately, with decorating the tree comes tons of emty bauble boxes to put away, bits of tinsel to hoover up, bit of broken bauble to 'tut tut' over, cats that are eyeing up the top of the tree, two youngest children arguing about who is going to put the favourite decorations in pride of place and one oldest son who would rather be twiddling his thumbs on his PSP controller than helping unravel strings of lights.......

We maintained Peace on Earth and displayed Goodwill to All Men and the job got done and everyone is happy.

Little did they know, I had a secret weapon (and no, it wasn't the glass of champagne that I have managed to make a Sally tradition - Decorate the tree and open a bottle of champagne!).  No, it was the Chistmas Spirit emanating from various light bulbs......

Ingredients:
4 parts Bergamot (uplifting)
4 parts Mandarin (calming)
2 parts Juniperberry (energising)
2 parts Patchouli (sharpens wit, aphrodisiac (well it is Christmas!))
1 part Cinnamon (relieves tiredness)

Method:
Blend essential oils together and place in a bottle with dripper lid.

Directions for Use:
Rather like hunt the thimble, you now need to hide dabs of Christmas Spirit blend in different places.  Great hiding places include -

Place a few drops onto a crumpled tissue and hide it down the back of the radiator.  As the heating comes on, it will warm up the tissue and release the aroma

Place a few drops onto a cotton wool pad and then dab the cotton wool onto light bulbs (make sure the light is off and the bulb is cold when applying).  Include the Christmas tree lights.

Place a drop on the candle BEFORE you light it

There you have it - hidden scents that will emerge when the lights and heating are on leaving you all uplifted, energetic, calm, witty and .....well, that's up to you!
