RECIPES

Rhubarb & Raspberry Body Wash

50g coco glucoside

20g decyl glucoside

30g lauryl glucoside

100g hot spring water

10g polyquat-7

2ml optiphen preservative

1ml rhubarb fragrance oil

1ml raspberry fragrance oil

1 drop liquid pink colouring    

14g crothix thickener 

Makes approximately 200ml

Weigh the glucosides and polyquat-7 and place into a heatproof jug or bowl.   Add the hot water and stir gently to ensure the surfactants are dispersed.

Add the fragrance oils oil, colour and the preservative.  Stir well to ensure that all the ingredients are thoroughly combined. 

Leave to completely cool in the jug/bowl.   When cooled leave to sit for at least 12 hours before deciding if the soap needs thickening.  If it does, very gradually add a teaspoon of crothix or thickener of choice at a time until you have reached the desired consistency.
