This self-study module is a must for anyone who wishes to use essential oils in their cosmetic products including soaps, creams, shampoos, bath fizz and perfumes and wants to understand more about the oils.

The module profiles 40 different essential oils and discusses the profile of the oils from many different angles. You will learn about different extraction methods, how the oils should be handled and stored, their therapeutic and mood enhancing properties and how they can be used to benefit different skin/hair types. Note that we do not include massage, reflexology, physical anatomy or physiology as part of this course. The course is designed around essential oils and their use in cosmetic products.

Our courses promote the use of natural ingredients where possible, however where there is a synthetic ingredient that we feel gives a more professional finish to a product we will include those too.  

Whilst we don't specifically focus on organic ingredients should you wish to substitute an ingredient - for example coconut oil for its organic version, you are completely at liberty to do so.
