Making Makeup Colour and Ingredients Information (Accredited)

Make your own makeup

Making your own makeup products is fun and fascinating.

There are many many different colours and many different styles of colours you can use.  This document outlines the use, regulations and styles of colour available so that you can make an informed choice of which to use when formulating.

This modular e-Learning course gives you an understanding of using the different types of colours and ingredients to make your products, which colours are safe to use in your cosmetic products and any country-specific regulations.

This self-paced module will teach you the following topics:
Working with micas
Working with oxides
Pigments, clays, lakes and dyes
CI numbers
Colour naming conventions
Suitability of colours worlwide
Base powder ingredients
Additives and other ingredients used in makeup products

This module is presented to you as a beautifully formatted, fully illustrated PDF file with video inserts*

Since you may already have some of the ingredients required, we provide you with the documentation only, not the ingredients. We will however include a list of what we feel are essential store cupboard eye makeup ingredients and give you a 10% discount voucher off the makeup ingredients so that once you have read through the recipes section, you can decide which ingredients you may like to purchase using your discount.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this course.
Email support is offered whilst you learn and your files are available to you online for 3 months from date of purchase.

Other makeup self-paced training modules include:
Making makeup - eye products
Making makeup - face and cheek products
Making makeup - lip products

You may also find the PF Guide to Using Preservatives interesting and useful.
