Aroma Profile:

A dark, thick and smoky aroma that underpins many beautiful perfumes. 

Imagine walking through woods on a damp Sunday afternoon and accidentally slipping.  As you tumble you land squarely in a pile of wet leaves and brush your hand over the remnants of a bonfire.  Smell your hand and you will detect boggy, damp, decay, wet woods, cinders and smoke.  That’s vetiver!
 
According to Elaine it conjures up dark nights, warm drinks, fireworks, bonfires and a sense of friendship.  That’s vetiver!
 
It grows on you so don't despair if you don't enjoy the aroma straight away.  Once it has you in its clutches, you will love its intriguing and beguiling dark, mysterious ways.​

Aroma profile: 

Foresty, mossy, damp, earthy, wet lichen-like aroma akin to oakmoss absolute.  A marvellous fixative helping to lock down those flightier notes.  Evernyl is also known as Atralone and Veramoss.

To use you will need to dissolve the powder in an oil or perfumers alcohol or, depending on what you are making, you can place them directly with the raw materials and dissolve over a gentle heat. Melting in a bain marie over a gentle heat also works.

Aroma profile: 

An excellent fixative with dry and rich ambery-woody notes.
 
Plush Folly comments: "Rich ambery,musk and dry wood.  Warm and rounded." 
 
Form: white crystals
 

To use you will need to dissolve the crystals in a little ethanol, perfumers alcohol or, depending on what you are making, you can place them directly with the raw materials and dissolve over a gentle heat.  Melting in a bain marie over a gentle heat also works.  

The melt point is approximately 77 degrees C

 

Dissolving rates: Dissolve up to 0.5g in up to 10g perfumers alcohol

 

If you use a greater amount than 1g ambroxan in the above dilution quantities not all the crystals will dissolve
