Simply beautiful!

Creamy, balsamic sandalwood. It's like a warm hug! A must for every perfumer!

Many tend to say it is a good alternative to the real one, however I believe this is on its own world itself.

The first thing it popped in my head: "Escentric 04 from escentric molecules!!"

As they have used javanol which share huge profile odour with sandalmysore.

It is very long lasting and it adds a smooth-grainy-mellow feel to the blends past the 4 hours where it comes up with all other base notes.

It is amazing in complex pyramids as well as outstanding in 3to5 notes simpler compositions.

It comes rather dense but fluid and it is not that overwhelming in terms of potency so it can be added liberally.

Be the judge and get a bottle! :)

Aroma profile: 

Hugely similar to Iso E Super in that they both share the same gamma isomer, Timbersilk offers a more noticable aroma initally.

With facets of amber and cedarwood, Timbersilk has a warm, smooth, woody, velvet softness that adds a wonderful element to any perfume whether blended or used on its own.

We are hard pushed to detect big differences between Iso E Super and Timbersilk apart from the potency of the initial impression.  The emotion and intrigue it promotes to those who come into contact with it, still offers a level of mischievousness...... see Iso E Super description for more details!

Timbersilk is iso E super’s big bro. Much more potent but to my untrained nostrils has a slight caramel after note to it, very subtly though. Everybody’s had a go at the single note perfumes such as molecule 01 and so on. Cant be replicated as the popular molecule 01 uses iso gamma super. However timbersilk is the closest you’ll get to it.

I like this better than ISO E Super. It's stronger. It is very similar to ISO E Super, but this is more woody and ambery. There is also this freshness (cold breez) in it, that appears sometimes; I can't describe it properly. As it dries down, it becomes a very familiar smell you instantly recognise.
