Aroma profile: 

A sweet, amber-like musk ambrette synthetic perfume compound. Use as a fixative and to give a sweet, rich, resinous dry-down. Adds depth and interest to any perfume.

We love the description from Odiferess - "In actuality, the Ambrettia potion is both enlivening (bright, optimistic, sparkly, slightly floral) and grounding (depth, strength, powder). I’m looking forward to making something with a ‘vintage’ feel with this one"

Let me introduce you to white musk's rather mischievous and outrageously flirty cousin....

We have been searching high and low to find this delicious dark aroma.  Nickie summed it up nicely for us when she described it .......:the beautiful side of sweet damp and mouldy...slightly mysterious, and I've succumbed to its charm'.  

We love it blended with:  Plum, patchouli, leather, rose and neroli

Aroma profile: 

Smooth, clean and familiar, our white musk is warm and safe and reminiscent of smelling soft clean skin on someone you love. 

We love this delicate fragrance. It is safe and pretty - it is a little goodie two shoes in terms of aroma.

Bryony summed it up as 'suitable for ballerinas in white tulle dancing on clouds'....

Aroma profile: 

An excellent fixative with dry and rich ambery-woody notes.
 
Plush Folly comments: "Rich ambery,musk and dry wood.  Warm and rounded." 
 
Form: white crystals
 

To use you will need to dissolve the crystals in a little ethanol, perfumers alcohol or, depending on what you are making, you can place them directly with the raw materials and dissolve over a gentle heat.  Melting in a bain marie over a gentle heat also works.  

The melt point is approximately 77 degrees C

 

Dissolving rates: Dissolve up to 0.5g in up to 10g perfumers alcohol

 

If you use a greater amount than 1g ambroxan in the above dilution quantities not all the crystals will dissolve

Tetralide (Tonalid)

 

Aroma profile: 

Tetralide crystals that have the aroma of soft clean musk with a laundry freshness.  Also known as tonalid.

The perfect addition for fresh perfumes.
