Making Perfumes & Blending Aromas

Duration:  10.30am - 12.30pm ish (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only)  Start time can be changed if required.

Prerequisities:  No previous experience required 

Description:  Learn how to structure, blend and create aromas for perfumes (including eau de toilette and eau de parfum) or for candles, diffusers and other home fragrance products,   This course is ideal for those who wish to create perfumed products as a business and also for those who wish to make scents for personal use or blend aromas to use in candles and other fragranced products.

Make your own blend to take home with you using a range of natural and synthetic oils.

This is a private personalised perfume making session run by our resident expert at Plush Folly.  It is a practical hands-on intensive, informative, creative yet informal session. 

Although there is a set structure to our perfume making workshop, it is possible to tailor the course a little to suit any specific areas you wish to include.

During your session you will learn -

• The difference between natural and synthetic materials and using them in your aromatic blends
• How to utilise top, middle and base notes to structure your blend
• How to use your aroma blend to  make eau de toilette, eau de parfum, pure perfume, dry body oils, candles, diffusers  etc

Everything you make is yours to take home with you.

The eLearning course notes are provided for you as part of this workshop and will be emailed to you after the course so that you don't have to worry about taking notes. 

This course is taught by perfumer Sally Hornsey, as seen on Channel 4 (making perfume with Kirstie Allsopp), author of 'Make Your Own Perfume', consultant member of IFRA and The Fragrance Foundation.
